The Backfill UI has issues:

Setting dates has no effect if you don’t press the play button.

Data backfills seem to work up until the point that they hit null or bad data.

If a backfill completes successfully, the UI does not show this (currently it nulls out the tag list) and user is expected to Cancel the completed request.
